GRADING SYLLABUS: The grading syllabus is now updated to include 3rd Dan.Check out the Iain Abernethy Podcasts page, there are some excellent topics covered and I recommend that all students listen to them. The main bit on news this month is that a new podcast is now available to listen to online or to download! This podcast - along with next month's - will be revisiting the subject of kata-based-sparring. This month's podcasts covers the core principles of kata-based-sparring, the importance of live practise, and how kata should be studied and progressed if pragmatic combat skills are your aim.

 

Congratulations to Abbi Shaw.  She passed her fourth kyu grade on Monday 16th June 2008.  This was after missing two of her grades due to ill health. It was long overdue, but she passed with an excellent show of determination. Once again 'Well done Abbi'.
